Farm Response
The Washington Area Humane Society (WAHS) values all animals’ lives. Our goal is to work with farmers who are struggling to care for their livestock and domestic animals by helping them find the resources they need to do better. Our humane officer is available to help struggling farmers understand and comply with the Pennsylvania humane laws.
The State of Pennsylvania and Washington County offer many programs and grants for farmers to help them with many aspects of their farm including their livestock.
