The Washington Area Humane Society provides shelter, safety, and care to the abandoned and abused animals of Washington County with the goal of placing them in loving homes.
The 1906 Society is a community of dedicated supporters who believe every animal deserves a second chance no matter the circumstance. Because of members like you, the WAHS provides lifesaving care to nearly 6,000 pets each year through intakes, adoptions, foster placements, humane investigations, a community pet food bank, spay and neuter services, low-cost vaccination clinics, supportive veterinary care, and education and outreach.
Your annual membership provides reliable, year-round support that allows the WAHS to respond immediately when the most vulnerable pets need help.
FRIENDS OF WAHS I $50 annually
You believe prevention saves lives.
Your support helps provide essential vaccinations, basic medical care, and daily comfort for pets entering our shelter—often their first step toward a healthier future.
GUARDIAN I $100 annually
You help protect animals beyond the basics.
Guardian members make it possible for WAHS to provide parasite prevention, microchipping, and follow-up care, giving pets a safer start and families peace of mind.
RESCUER I $250 annually
LIFESAVER I $500 annually
You ensure no animal is turned away.
Lifesaver members provide the resources needed for complete intake care—from medical assessments to safety—so every animal receives dignity and compassion.

WAHS ANGEL I $1,000 annually
You answer the call in moments of crisis.
Angel members make emergency and advanced veterinary care possible for animals with nowhere else to turn.
Additional benefits at this level include: two tickets to a WAHS hosted event, 2027 Lottery Calendar, and a donor recognition block
