Felix is a 6-ish-year old, affectionate,
well tempered, orange tabby, who has never shown inappropriate
clawing behavior. He even has sported Soft Paws from time to time.
His personality can be rather timid at times. He's not that type of
cat that will beg for your attention 24/7. He loves to sit next to
you and be petted and enjoys cuddling on your lap if the mood
strikes him. He also loves to be groomed, and adores sitting between
the shower curtain/liner when you take a shower. Felix also has a
mischievous side and loves to play. His favorite toys include laser
pointers, fake fur balls, and Q-tips. He also loves to have a window
open so he can get some fresh air while watching the birds and
squirrels outside.

Felix suffers from FLUTD (Feline
Lower Urinary Tract Disease). I
recently was able to bring his symptoms
under control by changing his diet to
Royal Canin Urinary SS 30 (can be
purchased at local
pet supply stores/ online/vets
offices). It's worked wonders for him.
Unfortunately, when Felix suffered from the symptoms of
FLUTD the relationship between him and my other cat (his
male sibling) was severely altered. The two cat's no
longer get along and the constant aggression between the
two cats is taking a toll on Felix's health. We've
spent almost a year now trying to correct the issue and
lower the stress level between the two, but it's just
not happening. Felix is currently on anti-anxiety
medication to help him deal with the stress while he is
still living with us. We also keep the cat's separated
24/7 right now, which is not fair to either of them due
to the small size of our house.
I really hate having to re-home him, but even the
vet has agreed that is the next best step. He no
longer feels comfortable in our home and tries to
escape outdoors at every opportunity. I feel he will
be better off in single pet home. Perhaps even in a
safe indoor/outdoor environment if one can be found.
I'd
really love to find him a good home. I am willing to
help out on the costs of the adoption and will provide a
few months supply of his food to start you off with.
I'll also send his supplies along with him, which
consist of: a carrier, water fountain, and his favorite
scratching posts, bed and toys. I also will make
a donation to the WAHS when he's adopted.
Felix deserves to be happy, safe and in a stress free
home - so please consider adopting him. He truly is a
lovable little cat, who will be sure to work his way
into your heart!
